There are a lot of free alternatives to create a beautiful design with templates to start with and many examples to spark a creative idea. Here are the top 5.


1. Canva

Canva is an excellent tool for Instagram, Facebook or any social media post you could imagine. Canva is based in Pert Australia and was founded in 2012 with over 2000 employees. There are two forms of membership free and premium. With the free option, you can use certain templates and graphics or you can upload your content or photo from a website like Unsplash. It's a great place to start your design career with this easy-to-navigate tool.



2. Picsart

Picsart is an outstanding tool for making fun posters or making pretty much anything you can think of. You can use tools like background removal, type and so much more. There is even a filter you can use to make your posts pop even more. With different sizes and different templates, there is no limit to what you can create.



3. Befunky

Befunky is a great resource for quick photo edits with tools like crop, replace colour, vibrance and so much more. There are college tools even a graphic design option with templates and advice. You can find lots of lesions spanning from but not limited to inspiration and tutorials. Tools like this are available in photoshop so Befunky is a great budget option.



4. Freepik

Freepik is a great place to get vectors for free. There are many free options spanning from illustrations to small vectors to add to your projects. Credit is sometimes required to use these graphics so keep that in mind. You can also find images to use with your design as well. One of the greatest resources on this website is mockups. You can download these Photoshop files like a T-shirt mockup. All that's required is to give credit to the creator.



5. Unsplash

Unsplash is a tool you can use for free non-copyrighted photos to use with your design. No credit is required for the use of these photos. Although you may if you want. There are thousands of photos to choose from for any topic you can think of. Like food, animals, street photography and so much more. The photos are high quality and sometimes have a few alternative options for the same photo.

All these options are a great way to start your graphic design creations to improve and uplift your design.
